Thanks for a great review, Jim, you make me want to watch this film! It makes me think about the film The Commitments, a great film from a few decades ago about some kids starting a soul band.
I was actually in Belfast for a few days at the end of the Troubles. I have stories…
Thank you for reading! By the way, I love "The Commitments!" I originally saw it back when the movie was released in theaters. Now, I watch it again on blu-ray every so often. "Kneecap" is sure a lot different though, that's for sure. I would love to hear about your time in Belfast someday. Were you playing in a band back then?
Hi Jim! It was a study trip - I used to study political science. Besides having to evacuate from a shopping mall because of a bomb threat, which was a weekly occurrence according to the locals, and having to postpone a lecture because the professor was shot in bed a couple days earlier, it was okay 😂 He survived and talked to us a few days later. Loved the live music at the local pubs.

Wow! Now that sounds like a pretty wild school trip!
Yes indeed!
